Contracting party

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you and the operator of Forme, a sole proprietor based in Finland ("we", "us", "our"). For questions about these Terms, contact us at hello@formecms.com.

The Terms govern your use of the Forme content management service, including the API (management.forme.sh, delivery.forme.sh), the Admin UI (app.forme.build), the marketing website (formecms.com), and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Effective date: March 23, 2026

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Alpha stage disclaimer

Forme is currently in Alpha. This means:

The Service is provided for evaluation and testing purposes
No uptime guarantees — the Service may be unavailable without notice
Features may change or be removed without notice
Data may be lost — while we take reasonable precautions, we do not guarantee data durability during Alpha
The Service may be discontinued at any time

We strongly recommend that you do not use Forme as your sole content store for production applications during the Alpha period. Maintain your own backups of any important content.

Your account

You access Forme via API keys provided to you after joining the waitlist
You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure — do not share secret keys publicly
Each workspace is isolated — you can only access your own data
We may revoke access or terminate accounts as described in the Termination section below

Your content

You own your content. Forme does not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over the content you create, upload, or store in the Service.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and serve your content as necessary to operate the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
Attempt to access other users' workspaces or data
Abuse the API (excessive requests beyond reasonable use, automated scraping of other users' content)
Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service (except where permitted by law)

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator of Forme from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Service
Content you upload, store, or distribute through the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights

Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but make no guarantees during Alpha
We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability
We will try to give advance notice of planned downtime when possible

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (during Alpha: zero)
We are not liable for data loss, service interruption, or any damages resulting from your use of the Service

Data handling

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Platform, europe-west1 region (Belgium, EU)
We use row-level security to isolate workspaces

During Alpha, we do not offer formal backup guarantees — export your data regularly

Intellectual property

"Forme", the Forme logo, and related marks are our trademarks
The Service, its APIs, documentation, and underlying technology are our intellectual property
These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or intellectual property beyond using the Service as intended

Termination

By you: You may stop using the Service at any time. Contact us at hello@formecms.com to request deletion of your data and account.
By us (for cause): We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or pose a risk to other users or the Service.
By us (without cause): We may terminate your access for any other reason with at least 7 days' written notice to the email address associated with your account.
Upon termination: Your right to use the Service ends. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow you to export it, after which we may permanently delete it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if we have your email) or by posting a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Dispute resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms through good-faith negotiation for a period of at least 30 days. Send your written notice of the dispute to hello@formecms.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may proceed to the courts specified below.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes not resolved through negotiation will be resolved in the courts of Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. No waiver of any provision shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of that or any other provision. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
